Den's funeral was Monday. I want to thank all who expressed their condolences at the visitation on Sunday and on Monday. Especially: thanks to:

* Mark Goldman for his wonderful eulogy

* Jack Delaney for his singing

* those who served as pallbearers Chris Groves (from Louisville), Joe Felin (from Springfield), Mark Goldman, Mark Spreitler, Randy Abbott, and Dane Slayton

* My son Chris and his wife Shelly who put together a DVD of photos from Denny's life with accompanying music, who designed and printed the program for the service, and who opened their home to so many after the service

* Again Chris and Shelly and Shelly's mother, Joann, and Shelly's aunt, Kathleen, for the beautiful luncheon and their gracious, unstinting service to all who came

* All who donated to the Hope Happens Foundation and all who sent flowers and plants

* The staff at Barnes-Jewish Extended Care who made Den's stay there a comfortable and comforting time for him and gave us such peace of mind to know that he was receiving such outstanding care

I'm sure I've missed a number of people who made the weekend more bearable.
