Hello, it's Rose with just a quick word or two. Sue and I have had much difficulty today trying to post the photos from Sunday at Margaret and Norm's and from yesterday of our whirlwind trip to the Lake. We are not sure what the problem is, but at least we put a few, very few, of the photos we have from both days. More when we can figure out the how to's.

Margaret and Norm hosted a 'perfect storm' of a family get-together on Sunday. The visiting was wonderful, the atmosphere loving and accepting, the food divine, and the humor spot on. At times I had tears in my eyes from laughing so hard. Shirley and I were able to provide some much needed 'psychoanalysis' to Randy about his trauma at Christmas last year. Seems he went to his mother's expecting the usual turkey and associated trimmings only to find that she made made chilli. Yes, CHILLI. Poor guy. He thought he was having a bad dream.

Sue and I went to the lake yesterday afternoon to see the progress there. The deck that Doug and Mark Goldman, Maddog, and Chris repaired and enlarged is stunning. Joe met us, and the three of us just sat in chairs in the sun and ENJOYED. Then Joe took us for a wonderful dinner in a restaurant overlooking the lake. We ate and drank with gusto and shared old stories. At one point Joe said something like, "Yes, when you get the facts about that cow nailed down, everything else just falls into place." So, you see, Dear Readers, this cow is an important marker in all our histories.

After a leisurely dinner, we drove home, Joe to Springfield, Sue and I to St. Louis.
