Scott called last evening to tell us that Jalen broke the little finger on his left hand, the hand he writes with, while playing on the playground at his school. Jalen's mother and grandmother (who is a nurse) were with him at the hospital where a hand specialist was determining the best treatment.

Some time over the summer, we noticed Brayden learned the proper use of pronouns. For example, he at one time referred to himself as "Baby," but now knows the correct use of "I." Scott says he has a new expression, "Where you got that?" meaning "Where did you get that?" We figure he's working on his verb tenses. It's amazing to observe how the little guy learns. His main teacher is imitation and mimicry. And having a big brother to mimic surely helps a lot.
