We celebrated the Fourth of July early at the lake this year. Since the holiday falls on Wednesday, we gathered at the lakehouse for the big bang. Scott, Sherry, Jalen, Brayden, Doug, Suzanne, Josie, Lucas, Mike Derrington, Stacy, Brighton, Maddog, Goldman, and myself were the audience from our house, but the rest of the subdivision was the rest of the audience. The fellows went to the fireworks stand Saturday morning to get the items for the display and went in Doug's Suburban. They bought so much stuff they had to hold some on thir laps on the way home. Like little boys, they sat around the rest of the day waiting for dark. It was cloudy and sprinkled some during the day but cleared up for the evening.

Rose and Shirley got to watch Ellie on Friday and the three of us watched her last night.
