Hi, it's Rose. Margaret Ann called to say Brother Bernie has broken his foot. Last Wednesday he and Maudie returned from Seattle where he found he did not have to have surgery. On Thursday he fell and suffered the break. For now he is in a 'boot' and will have that replaced with a cast when the swelling goes down. He expects to be wearing the cast for a couple of months. We all hope the ordeal and the healing are quickly behind him!

And Sue's son Mark called to say he broke his collar bone in a bicyling accident this weekend while in Kentucky. He sees an orthopedic physician today to see if he needs surgery. He said one minute he was riding along and the next thing he knew, he awoke in the hospital. A get well quick to Mark, also. He can't ride his bike for a couple of week, and that has got to be tough.
