This is Catrina with a quick update. My mom (Margaret) found a lump on her breast on Saturday, October 27th and a biopsy confirmed it was Stage II Breast Cancer. Mom went in Friday, November 9th for an outpatient lumpectomy and the surgeons were successful in removing the lump along with several lymph nodes. We are still awaiting final results from the tests but the prognosis is very good and at this point it does not appear she will need to undergo any type of chemo and/or radiation therapy. She is recuperating at home and we'll update more when we know more.
