I just returned from the hospital and have an update. Sue probably has asceptic meningitis, a very common reaction to the IVIG. According to the neurologist, there are many antibodies from various people in the immuno-globulin so that it is not uncommon for someone to have this reaction. The plan is to keep Sue again overnight, treating her with IV fluids since she can't eat and Tylenol for her headache. She is a lot better this morning. For a while, it looked like she would have a lumbar puncture ("spinal tap" for all you who have seen "Miss Ever's Boys"), but now that appears unnecessary. She has her cell phone now: 314 452-3685.
